Common questions
- Is it really free?
- Yes — track up to 10 chickens, get 5 AI checks a month, all the daily logging features. No card required. Upgrade only if you outgrow it.
- What happens to my data if I cancel?
- You stay on the free tier. Your data isn't deleted; you can still log up to 10 chickens. Export everything as CSV from Settings if you want a backup.
- Does AI actually work on chicken photos?
- It does, but it's not magic. We use Claude vision (made by Anthropic, the same company that built the Claude assistant). It identifies common breeds with ~85% accuracy, flags obvious health issues, and explains everything in plain language. It's not a vet — when something's serious, it tells you to see one.
- Who's behind this?
- The team behind growchicken.com — the chicken-keeping blog you may already read.
- Can I use this on my phone?
- It's mobile-first. Browser-based, no app store needed. Add it to your home screen for an app-like feel.
