Welcome to GrowChicken, operated by Waida Studio. Using the app means you agree to these terms.
The app, in plain English
GrowChicken is a flock-management app for backyard chicken keepers. You log your flock, we keep the data, and our AI features can give you observations on photos you upload. Our AI is not a veterinarian. When something looks serious, see a vet.
Your account
- You must be 13+ to use GrowChicken.
- You're responsible for your account and the data in it.
- Don't share your password.
- Don't use the app to do anything illegal, hateful, or that breaks the rights of others.
Pricing & billing
- The free tier is free forever, with the limits described on our pricing page.
- Backyard is $12.99/month or $99/year, charged via Stripe.
- Your card will appear charged as GROWCHICKEN APP.
- You can cancel anytime from Settings. We don't pro-rate refunds, but you keep access until the period ends.
- If a charge is wrong, email us within 30 days and we'll make it right.
- We may change prices for new subscribers. Existing subscribers keep their price unless we email you with at least 30 days' notice.
AI features
AI photo checks are powered by Anthropic's Claude. They're educational — they can flag things worth looking at but they get things wrong. Don't use them as a substitute for a veterinarian. For serious health concerns, see a vet.
Free tier gets 5 AI checks per month; Backyard gets unlimited subject to fair-use limits (we may rate-limit at 10/hour or 100/day to prevent abuse).
Your data
You own your flock data. We never sell it. We won't use your photos to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
What we can't promise
GrowChicken is provided as-is. We do our best to keep the app running, but we don't promise it will always be available, bug-free, or accurate. Specifically, our AI checks are not medical advice for your chickens. We're not liable for chicken health outcomes, lost data, or other indirect damages beyond what you've paid us in the last 12 months.
Termination
You can delete your account anytime — email hello@growchicken.com. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms (e.g., abuse, fraud, illegal activity) with reasonable notice.
Changes
We'll update these terms when needed. Material changes get emailed to you with at least 30 days' notice.
